How we work, and how to hold us to it
Accuracy and independence are the only things this publication has to offer. This page sets out, plainly, how we try to earn both — and how to tell us when we get it wrong.
How we research and source
Every factual claim — a tariff, a registration rule, a subsidy deadline, a spec — is checked against a primary or near-primary source: the relevant regulation (for example the Central Motor Vehicles Rules), the electricity regulator's tariff order, the manufacturer's own listing, or established reporting. Where a figure is a range or varies by variant, state or time, we say so rather than pretending a single number is universal.
We date our facts. Anything time-sensitive — electricity tariffs, subsidy windows, prices — carries the period it was verified, and we re-check those figures periodically. If we can't verify something to our own satisfaction, we don't publish it as fact.
Who reviews it
Articles are written and then reviewed by a named person before publication, and every page shows who wrote it and who reviewed it, with the dates it was published and last updated. That attribution isn't decoration — it's us putting our names to the work so you know who stands behind it.
Corrections — how to report a mistake
We will get things wrong, and when we do we fix them on the record. If you spot an error — a number that's out of date, a rule we've misread, a claim that doesn't hold — tell us, and we'll check it against the source and correct it promptly. Material corrections are reflected in the article's "Updated" date so the change is visible, not quietly buried.
To report an error, reach us on WhatsApp or at our contact address (see About). Please include the page and the specific claim so we can verify it quickly.
Our independence
We don't sell vehicles. EV Chandigarh publishes information, not inventory — no prices, no bookings, no dealer pages. When you're ready to buy, we route you to where you can: our commerce partner at evchandigarh.com and a WhatsApp line. Keeping the buying separate from the explaining is what lets our guidance stay neutral.
We write about a category, not a catalogue. When a specific model is the clearest way to illustrate a point, we name it as an example of its class — never as "our" product to push.
